The Oreo Session – Part 1

In this episode there is a discussion between two black sheep and one as white as snow… 😉 And yes that was the title recommended by one of the atheists! Listen in to this wonderful lively discussion between myself and two atheists, Cory Markum and Alex Starr.

“I Will Cite My Sources When You Agree With Me” – A Foray Into the Mind of a Mythicist

In this somewhat impromptu episode, I reflect on a bizarre conversation I had with a Jesus Mythicist. It was just delightful.

You’ll see.

Discussion with Cory Markum on Moral Philosophy – Part 2

In this episode I continue my discussion with my friend and atheist Cory Markum on what he thinks a possible foundation for morality might be from within a non-theistic worldview. At the end of this I ask the audience to weigh in if Cory has met his burden of proof to demonstrate that such a thesis has been demonstrated. Feel free to comment with your thoughts!

The Doctrines of Grace – Is Grace Resistible?

In this episode we continue out look at the Reformed Doctrines of Grace, also known as Calvinism. We have been working our way through the Russian Nesting Dolls and have now gotten to the question of how God applies the atonement of Christ to his elect people. Can people by the working of their own free will reject the gospel call of God when he has elected and atoned for them? Of does the work of the Spirit happen in a way that cannot be repelled?

That is the question for this episode of The Freed Thinker Podcast!

The Doctrines of Grace – Limited Atonement

Did Jesus die to atone for all the sins of all people? All the sins of some people? Some of the sins of some people?

What was the extent of the atonement of Christ? Should we be universalists? These are some of the questions that lead to many of our most heated discussions as Christians with Arminians calling Calvinists evil and cruel and demonic and Calvinists calling Arminians/Molinists heretics and Pelagians.

This is the topic of this episode of the Freed Thinker Podcast as we continue our series on the Reformed Doctrines of Grace, better known as Calvinism.

Doctrines of Grace – The Atonement

http://freedthinkerpodcast.blogspot.com/2015/11/the-doctrines-of-grace-atonment.html

In this episode we continue our series looking at the Reformed Doctrines of Grace otherwise known as the doctrines of Calvinism. Next time we will be looking at the doctrine known as Limited Atonement so for this episode we are looking at the intent of the atonement. I argue that we cannot understand the EXTENT of the atonement unless we understand the INTENT of the atonement.
